Materials Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Materials Engineer to support construction projects in Kigali. The role focuses on ensuring the quality, compliance and suitability of concrete, asphalt, aggregates and soil used on site.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct testing and evaluation of construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, aggregates and soil.
• Monitor material quality and verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Prepare technical reports, test results and material submittals.
• Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, suppliers and laboratory teams.
• Investigate material‑related issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of material testing and approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in materials engineering, quality control or construction materials testing.
• Knowledge of construction material standards and testing procedures.
