About the role
One Acre Fund’s Young Professionals Program is seeking a motivated recent law graduate to join its Rwanda team as a Legal and Investigations Intern. The role offers hands‑on experience in case assessment, evidence management, legal research and drafting within a fast‑moving agricultural nonprofit.
Key responsibilities
- Support review of new and ongoing cases, identifying allegations and breaking down complex issues.
- Organise case documents and correspondence into structured formats and flag inconsistencies.
- Prepare investigative tools such as interview questions, case summaries and briefing notes.
- Document interviews and findings to maintain an objective factual record.
- Conduct targeted legal research and synthesize relevant legal principles.
- Assist in linking facts to legal issues under senior supervision and draft initial reports.
Required profile
- Recent LL.B graduate or early‑career legal professional.
- Highly motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills.
