Law Department Teaching Staff (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Institut d'Enseignement Supérieur de Ruhengeri seeks a full‑time member for its Law Department. The successful candidate will join a dynamic academic team, contributing to teaching, research and community outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate law courses, ensuring up‑to‑date pedagogy and research integration.
• Review, evaluate and advise on student research proposals, theses and funding applications.
• Develop innovative course materials and curricula aligned with current legal developments.
• Mobilize resources for research projects, internships, community service and knowledge dissemination.
• Engage in cutting‑edge research collaborations with students and fellow academics.
• Provide guidance on publishing research outputs in reputable journals to enhance institutional visibility.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s degree in Business Law (or equivalent foreign qualification).
• At least two years of proven experience in an academic environment.
• Research experience with a commitment to academic excellence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct research across common law, civil law and customary law systems.
• Willingness to participate in community outreach and continuing legal education.
