Laundry Valet

About the role

The Laundry Valet joins the hotel’s Housekeeping & Laundry team to ensure all linens and guest garments are cleaned, inspected, and returned to service efficiently. This full‑time, onsite position supports Marriott’s commitment to high‑quality hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor commercial washing, drying, and dry‑cleaning machines, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps as required.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, spot‑treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect cleaned articles for quality, fold them to designated sizes, and place them in clean linen carts.
• Set dryer times and temperatures based on fabric type and perform routine maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of all items processed.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any incidents promptly.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior laundry or housekeeping experience necessary.
• No supervisory experience or licenses required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and work in confined or elevated spaces.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial laundry and dry‑cleaning equipment.
• Use of chemical cleaning agents and lint‑trap maintenance.
• Basic record‑keeping and documentation.
