Kinyarwanda Language Specialist (Remote, Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a native or near‑native Kinyarwanda speaker to join our AI training team on a contract basis. The specialist will ensure that all Kinyarwanda language data used for machine learning is accurate, culturally appropriate, and of high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, review, and edit content to and from Kinyarwanda.
• Collaborate with AI trainers to refine Kinyarwanda language datasets and training materials.
• Evaluate and correct natural language data for grammar, context, and clarity.
• Provide linguistic expertise for the development of language‑processing tools and AI models.
• Maintain consistent quality standards across all written and verbal communication.
• Offer insights on idioms, cultural references, and linguistic nuances.
• Work cross‑functionally with other language experts and project stakeholders to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Kinyarwanda with advanced written and verbal skills.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, or linguistics involving Kinyarwanda.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical abilities in both Kinyarwanda and English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with digital tools and language‑technology platforms.
• Commitment to linguistic integrity and quality.
