About the role

We are seeking a native or near‑native Kinyarwanda speaker to join our remote team as a Language Specialist. The role involves translating, reviewing, and editing content to ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance, while supporting AI‑driven language projects.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, review, and edit written material to and from Kinyarwanda, maintaining high quality and cultural appropriateness.
• Collaborate with AI trainers to refine Kinyarwanda language datasets and training resources.
• Evaluate and correct natural language data for grammar, context, and clarity.
• Provide linguistic expertise for the development of language‑processing tools and AI models.
• Maintain consistent standards across all written and verbal communications.
• Offer insights on idioms, nuances, and cultural references specific to Kinyarwanda.
• Work cross‑functionally with other language experts and project stakeholders to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Kinyarwanda with advanced written and verbal skills.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, or linguistics involving Kinyarwanda.
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially in grammatical accuracy and contextual meaning.
• Strong reading comprehension and analytical abilities in both Kinyarwanda and English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
