Full-Time Teaching Positions in Law, Economics & Computer Science

About the role

The Institut d'Enseignement Supérieur de Ruhengeri is recruiting full‑time lecturers for its Faculty of Law and Public Administration, Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences and Management, and Department of Computer Science. Successful candidates will join a research‑oriented university and contribute to teaching, curriculum development, and scholarly activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and supervise students while staying current with advances in research and pedagogy.
• Prepare teaching materials, select textbooks, and support teaching assistants, labs, or fieldwork.
• Review and advise on student research proposals, theses, and funding applications.
• Mobilize resources for research, outreach, community service, internships, and placements.
• Conduct cutting‑edge research alongside students and academic staff.
• Guide students in publishing research outputs in reputable journals.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (Criminal Law, Taxation, Software Engineering, etc.).
• Minimum of two to three years of teaching or consultancy experience after the doctorate.
• Proven research record with publications in national or international journals.
• Ability to work in English, French and Kinyarwanda (for law faculty) and to engage with diverse populations.
• Availability for direct appointment as full‑time teaching staff.
• For law faculty: legal practice diploma and knowledge of common, civil, and customary law traditions is an advantage.
