French AI Data Trainer - Remote

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented French AI Data Trainer to work remotely as an hourly contractor. The role focuses on evaluating and annotating AI‑generated content in both French and English to improve the safety and reliability of large language models.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI‑generated responses for accuracy, safety, and compliance with strict policy guidelines.
• Annotate and label datasets in French and English with high linguistic precision, covering categories such as hate, sexual content, violence, bias, misinformation, illegal activities, and malicious code.
• Compare multiple model outputs and score them using safety and quality rubrics.
• Identify failure patterns, conduct red‑team and adversarial testing, and document findings with clear reasoning.
• Support the refinement of annotation guidelines and ensure consistent policy interpretation across evaluations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in linguistics, communications, psychology, law, policy, security studies or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in French (reading and writing) and minimum C1 proficiency in English.
• Experience in trust & safety, content moderation, policy enforcement, risk operations or safety evaluation.
• Proven experience in LLM red‑team testing and ability to work independently in a remote contractor setup.

Required skills

• Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with ambiguous policy situations and explain decisions clearly.
• Familiarity with AI systems such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity and structured safety taxonomies.
