Food & Beverage Service Expert (Houseman)

About the role

The Food & Beverage Service Expert (Houseman) supports the dining experience by preparing the service area, assisting guests, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position is essential to delivering the memorable hospitality that Marriott is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Set and arrange tables, chairs, and service stations according to restaurant standards.
• Communicate orders and special requests between guests and the kitchen.
• Interact with guests, provide courteous service, and respond to their needs promptly.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Follow safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards at all times.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb unassisted (50 lb with assistance), reaching overhead, and moving on varied floor surfaces.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than one year of related experience in food and beverage service.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.
