Food & Beverage Cashier

About the role

Join Marriott International as a Food & Beverage Cashier in Kigali, where you will be the front‑line financial steward for our restaurant and bar operations. You will ensure accurate and efficient processing of all guest payments while upholding the brand’s standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Process all payment methods in accordance with accounting procedures and property audit standards.
• Handle cash, credit, and electronic transactions, perform blind drops, and secure the bank at all times.
• Count and reconcile the bank at the end of each shift, complete cashier reports, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Transport bank to and from the assigned workstation and maintain a clean, organized cash desk.
• Provide courteous service to guests, answer telephone inquiries, and uphold uniform and appearance standards.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any incidents promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior work experience required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point of sale (POS) systems.
• Accurate cash handling and basic computer literacy.
