Early Childhood Development Teacher – Kayovu, Gashora

About the role

The Early Childhood Development (ECD) Teacher will lead the Little Lights ECD programme in Kayovu, Gashora, delivering high‑quality nursery education and supporting the holistic development of young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Little Lights ECD centre.
• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate lessons for mixed‑ability children.
• Set learning goals, organise activities, and motivate students to build confidence.
• Prepare and adapt teaching resources to meet individual learning styles.
• Maintain weekly progress reports and assessments for each child.
• Provide clear feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents.
• Use computer programmes to reinforce learning and track outcomes.
• Handle classroom incidents promptly and promote positive behaviour.
• Undertake administrative duties and uphold centre policies.

Required profile

• Strong personal Christian faith and ability to model Christian values.
• Passion for working with young children and fostering their development.
• Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and staff.
• Commitment to continuous personal, spiritual, and professional growth.
