District Senior Supervisor - Forest and Landscape Restoration

About the role

One Acre Fund's Rwanda program, operating under the local brand Tubura, is looking for a District Senior Supervisor to lead Forest and Landscape Restoration and seedling production. The role drives field operations, leads field teams, meets ambitious targets and works closely with farmers and local governments. It is a 2-year fixed-term position based in Bugesera, Rwamagana or Karongi, open only to Rwandan citizens or permanent residents.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the execution of the Forest and Landscape Restoration (FLR) program and oversee high-quality seedling production across assigned district sites.
• Direct and supervise Sector Supervisors, Site Supervisors and Senior Field Officers, training them regularly to build capacity and manage turnover.
• Monitor district performance against seasonal milestones and resolve field operational or weather-related production challenges.
• Maintain close collaboration with local government officials, community leaders and regional coordinators.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Agroforestry, Agriculture or a closely related field.
• 2 years of practical field experience in forestry, agroforestry or agricultural project implementation.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing field teams, including Sector Supervisors and Field Officers.
• Experience in data analysis and tracking operational performance against field targets.
• Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English; the role is open only to citizens or permanent residents of Rwanda.
