Co-Curricular Programmes Manager

About the role

The Co-Curricular Programmes Manager leads the strategic and operational delivery of ALU Rwanda’s co‑curricular and non‑academic programmes. This role ensures that programmes such as the Writing Centre, Student Success, Career Services, and bridging initiatives are high‑quality, integrated with academic learning, and aligned with the university’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and day‑to‑day management of co‑curricular offerings, setting goals, standards and performance metrics.
• Coordinate and integrate programmes like Writing Centre, Student Success, Career Services, competitions, ethics courses, and postgraduate support across the student lifecycle.
• Design, deliver and continuously improve non‑academic programmes including the Leadership Core Bootcamp and English Immersion bridging courses.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Academics, programme managers, career services and external partners to ensure seamless student support and transition to graduate pathways.
• Monitor financial sustainability and resource allocation for all co‑curricular and non‑academic initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading educational or student‑development programmes.
• Strong strategic planning, operational management and performance‑measurement skills.
• Excellent collaboration abilities with academic leaders, external partners and cross‑functional teams.
