Civil Engineering Lecturer – Structural & Construction

About the role

The Institut d'Enseignement Supérieur de Ruhengeri is seeking two full‑time lecturers for its Civil Engineering Department. The positions focus on Structural Engineering and Construction Technology & Management, supporting undergraduate and graduate programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and supervise student projects in civil engineering topics.
• Develop and update curricula, incorporating emerging technologies and industry practices.
• Assist the Head of Department with teaching coordination and related academic activities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or Construction Technology and Management with at least two years of higher‑education teaching experience.
• Demonstrated experience supervising theses and securing research grants.
• Experience in curriculum development, academic leadership and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong collaborative and communication abilities, with a commitment to advancing the department’s teaching mission.
