About the role
The Child Protection Specialist will support the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of child protection programmes in Rwanda. Reporting to the senior Child Protection Specialist, you will contribute to creating a safe environment for children, aligning with UNICEF’s strategic objectives and international child rights frameworks.
Key responsibilities
- Support programme and project development, planning and resource allocation.
- Manage programme implementation, monitoring progress and delivering results.
- Provide technical and operational guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain partnerships with national and international stakeholders.
- Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.
- Ensure compliance with Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and safeguarding policies.
Required profile
- Master’s degree or equivalent in International Development, Psychology, Sociology, Social Services, Human Rights, International Law or a related social science field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is also acceptable when combined with relevant experience.
