Business Development Executive

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Business Development Executive to help expand our client’s presence in the insurance and cultural souvenir markets across Rwanda. The role focuses on generating new revenue streams, building strategic partnerships, and achieving sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both insurance and souvenir segments.
• Promote insurance products to individuals, SMEs, corporates and organized groups.
• Market and sell cultural souvenirs to corporate clients, institutions, events and retail partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Conduct market research to spot trends, customer needs and new revenue streams.
• Prepare and deliver business proposals, quotations and sales pitches.
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Represent the company at networking events, exhibitions and promotional activities.
• Produce regular sales, pipeline and performance reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business Development, Marketing, Sales, Insurance or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business development, sales or marketing.
• Experience in insurance sales is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to close deals and work with commissions/targets.
• Self‑motivated, creative and results‑oriented.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
