Branch Manager, BPR - Nyanza Branch

About the role

BPR Bank Rwanda is looking for a Branch Manager for its Nyanza branch. The role contributes to and implements the Retail Banking Strategy in the branch's area so that the bank's retail objectives are met and business grows sustainably.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the branch's retail liability and asset portfolios so they remain profitable, competitive and responsive to internal and external changes.
• Drive a sales culture among staff to grow non-interest income, products per customer, share of wallet and the quality of the customer base while maintaining staff productivity.
• Oversee branch operations to deliver superior service, reduce operating costs through efficient use of resources and prevent fraud and losses through strong governance and compliance with bank policies.
• Monitor and manage customer complaints, review service delivery standards and manage branch human resources to maintain high service standards.
• Coach, mentor and develop a high-performing team and ensure an effective performance management framework.
• Promote migration of customers to electronic channels (Mobile Banking, Internet Banking and Cards) and improve alternative channels such as Agency Banking and Merchant Business.
• Keep branch processes within agreed turnaround times to meet customer expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• Master's degree in Business or a related field.
• At least 10 years of total experience in team leadership, sales, relationship management, credit and bank operations.
• Above 5 years each in sales and relationship management, credit skills, banking operations and leadership.
• Above 3 years of business development track record.
