Transportation Manager (Rwanda)

About the role

The Transportation Manager will lead daily transport operations and fleet management across Rwanda, ensuring timely vehicle dispatch, efficient delivery, and compliance with local regulations. This senior role requires strong leadership to supervise drivers, coordinate with warehouse teams, and maintain high operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily transport operations and fleet management activities.
• Ensure timely and efficient vehicle dispatch and delivery.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, and repair activities.
• Manage fuel consumption, transport costs, and overall operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Rwanda transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Supervise drivers and transport staff, handling attendance, discipline, and performance management.
• Track vehicle movements and prepare performance reports.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth logistics flow.
• Conduct driver training on safety, compliance, and operational procedures.
• Handle transport‑related emergencies, incidents, and customer complaints professionally.
• Maintain proper documentation for vehicles, insurance, licenses, and permits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in transport or fleet management.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and pressure‑handling skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with fleet tracking systems.
• Experience in transport reporting and performance analysis.
