Technical Officer – Collaborative Registration Procedure

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Officer to support national regulatory authorities in implementing WHO’s Collaborative Registration Procedure (CRP) and reliance mechanisms, accelerating access to quality‑assured health products across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to NRAs on CRP, reliance mechanisms and GMP‑related queries.
• Advise on regulatory assessments and support development of policies, guidelines and tools for CRP implementation.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day CRP operations, track submissions, timelines and reporting, and maintain data in WHO electronic systems.
• Lead outreach to non‑participating countries, organise advocacy workshops and awareness activities.
• Support joint regulatory assessments and monitor performance metrics.
• Contribute to global health product initiatives such as EU‑M4all and Swissmedic pathways.
• Strengthen NRAs’ marketing authorization functions and deliver training on abridged reviews and product verification.
• Facilitate coordination among technical experts and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceuticals or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in medical product regulation, including at least 5 years in marketing authorization and regulatory assessment.
• Fluent in English and French.

Required skills

• Regulatory assessment expertise.
• Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) knowledge.
