Technical Co-Founder

About the role

Synteone is seeking an experienced Technical Co-Founder to help shape the next generation of digital products across Africa and beyond. This full‑time remote leadership position works directly with the founder to define technology strategy, product architecture, and the engineering roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology vision, selecting appropriate platforms, tools, and frameworks.
• Lead design, development, and scaling of web and mobile applications.
• Establish engineering best practices, DevOps pipelines, and security standards.
• Oversee product development from concept to launch, collaborating on product strategy.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high‑performing engineering team as the company grows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably 7‑10 years.
• Proven ability to translate business ideas into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup environment with shifting priorities.
