Associate, Data Science

About the role

The Associate, Data Science will join the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) team supporting Rwanda’s health system strengthening efforts. Working within a global health organization, you will help generate data‑driven insights that inform policies, improve program performance, and advance universal health coverage goals.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and manage health‑related datasets from government, donor, and program sources.
• Develop analytical models and visualizations to assess health financing, service delivery, and disease trends.
• Collaborate with program managers, epidemiologists, and partners to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities, including indicator tracking and impact assessments.
• Prepare concise reports and presentations for stakeholders, including the Government of Rwanda and international donors.

Required profile

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, economics, public health, data science).
• Strong analytical mindset with experience working in low‑ and middle‑income country contexts.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to CHAI’s mission of improving health outcomes in resource‑limited settings.
