Software Engineering Apprenticeship (Advanced / Mid-Senior Track)

About the role

AmaliTech, an IT services company operating in Germany, the US, Ghana and Rwanda, runs a paid, full-time apprenticeship programme supported by DEG Impulse. It is aimed at engineers who want to refine their technical maturity, ownership and delivery standards while working on production-level systems. The programme combines structured upskilling with hands-on work on real projects, Monday to Friday (10 hours per day), lasting 4 months. Specialisations include Data Engineering, Python Backend + AI Application Development, Java Backend, JavaScript Full Stack and DevOps.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in an advanced upskilling programme focused on software engineering best practices and international delivery standards.
• Work on production-level systems and real-world projects under structured guidance.
• Own assigned features, tasks or components from implementation to delivery.
• Write clear, maintainable and testable code following established standards.
• Receive and apply feedback continuously to improve technical and professional performance.
• Demonstrate reliability, accountability and quality in daily work.

Required profile

• More than 2 years of prior experience in software development or related technical roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Engineers aiming to bridge the gap to senior-level international delivery, and those ready to secure a full-time role after the apprenticeship, subject to performance and business needs.
