Resource Development & Management Advisor

About the role

The Resource Development & Management Advisor will lead funding acquisition and grant management for VisionFund International’s Africa region, supporting micro‑finance activities that aim to break intergenerational poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full RFP response process, reviewing opportunities and ensuring alignment with VisionFund’s funding priorities.
• Research and assess potential funding organisations, collaborating with World Vision field, regional and support offices.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of funding opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
• Set up and support proposal development teams, create project work‑plans and ensure high‑quality proposals and supporting documents.
• Write proposals, review contracts, and monitor donor‑funded projects to ensure compliance.
• Provide technical support, project monitoring and impact reporting to donors.
• Build and sustain relationships with funders, World Vision offices and implementing partners.
• Lead capacity‑building initiatives for MFI staff on grant management, reporting and donor engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in grant acquisition and management within the development or micro‑finance sector.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and build capacity of staff.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with donors, partners and internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with technical and financial reporting requirements for donor compliance.
• Knowledge of VisionFund’s strategic funding priorities and regional development context.
