NPO Engineer – Mobile Network Optimization

About the role

Join Nokia’s Mobile Infrastructure team in Rwanda as an NPO Engineer, focusing on the optimisation of multi‑vendor radio networks. You will work primarily on 4G while also supporting 2G, 3G and 5G, applying your technical knowledge to improve coverage, quality and capacity for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise multi‑vendor Radio Networks (2G, 3G, 4G & 5G) to meet performance KPIs.
• Analyse poor cell performance and implement troubleshooting strategies.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and propose innovative solutions.
• Tune radio network parameters to enhance coverage, quality, capacity and user experience.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for end‑to‑end issues and devise actionable solutions.
• Create comprehensive SLA KPI reports for optimisation and acceptance processes.
• Coordinate site acceptance for new integrations and expansions, including physical site optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in RF planning and optimisation for 2G, 3G, LTE/VoLTE and 5G networks.
• Strong expertise in either Ericsson or ZTE Radio Access technologies.
• Ability to analyse radio network statistics and Layer 3 traces.
• Experience in customer management to maximise satisfaction.
