Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Associate

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Associate will be based in Kigali, Rwanda and will support the MEL Manager in ensuring high‑quality data collection, analysis and reporting across Inkomoko’s programmes. The role involves regular travel to project sites throughout Rwanda.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the MEL Manager with quarterly data quality assessments and routine data checks.
• Design, refine and pilot both qualitative and quantitative data collection tools such as surveys and focus‑group guides.
• Plan and execute data collection activities, coordinating logistics and communicating schedules with clients.
• Train field staff and enumerators on data collection protocols, supervise their work, and ensure adherence to interview standards.
• Lead focus‑group discussions, facilitate dialogue and capture detailed notes.
• Oversee data cleaning, organization and preparation of reports to maintain data integrity and completeness.

Required profile

• Based in Kigali, Rwanda, with willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
• Reports directly to the MEL Manager Rwanda.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
