Legal Associate – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

KC ATTORNEYS is seeking a full‑time Associate to work on‑site in Gasabo. The role supports senior lawyers on corporate and commercial matters, providing legal advisory, drafting, and research for both local and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review contracts, legal opinions, and transaction documents.
• Conduct legal research on corporate and commercial law issues.
• Prepare client‑facing materials and participate in client meetings.
• Assist with due‑diligence activities and manage case files and documentation.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and coordinate with external parties.
• Contribute to internal knowledge resources and practice development.

Required profile

• LL.B degree from a recognized institution and eligibility (or commitment) to practice law in Rwanda.
• Minimum three years of experience in corporate or commercial law.
• Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and client communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities with high ethical standards.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Kinyarwanda and/or French is a plus.
