Digital Identity Lead – Frontier Technologies Foundations

About the role

The Digital Identity Lead sits at the crossroads of technical architecture and commercial origination, owning the Digital Identity (DID) service line for Frontier Technologies. You will shape national‑scale identity programmes, ensure they integrate with data‑exchange and cybersecurity foundations, and drive business growth through strategic donor networks.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and capture pipeline opportunities with the World Bank, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and regional development banks, positioning the firm as the preferred partner for digital public‑infrastructure projects.
• Lead high‑value proposal development, deal structuring and pitch delivery for donor‑funded tenders.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the practice and global identity, data and digital‑government communities, aligning capabilities with emerging donor strategies.
• Provide technical leadership for the design, governance and rollout of national digital ID systems, embedding international standards such as ID4D, ID4Africa and open‑source stacks like MOSIP.
• Advise clients on transitioning to Decentralised Identity ecosystems and on integrating cryptographic trust frameworks, PKI and Zero‑Trust architectures.
• Collaborate with Data at Societal Scale and Cybersecurity leads to ensure coherent architecture across identity, data exchange and security layers.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience designing and implementing national‑scale digital identity architectures.
• Deep knowledge of Decentralised Identity (DID) concepts, PKI, cryptographic trust frameworks and Zero‑Trust design.
• Familiarity with World Bank ID4D principles, ID4Africa frameworks and open‑source identity platforms such as MOSIP.
• Proven ability to originate and win donor‑funded projects, leveraging senior networks in development finance institutions.
• Strong collaborative mindset to work across data‑exchange and cybersecurity domains.
