Adjunct Entrepreneurship, AI and Future of Work Expert

About the role

The BSc Entrepreneurial Leadership (BEL) programme is a three-year degree aimed at producing ethical entrepreneurial graduates who use technology to solve problems on the continent and beyond. The Adjunct Curriculum & Quality Assurance Expert designs, refines and validates the programme's learning components in line with ALU's Learning Model, supports the periodic review process with a project plan and milestones, and strengthens programme quality, graduate employability and long-term relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Review, refine, design and validate the current curriculum of the Entrepreneurial Leadership programme, with attention to the project plan and timelines
• Assess alignment with accreditation requirements and the quality assurance framework, and benchmark against leading international programmes
• Evaluate preparedness for AI-driven economic transformation and recommend integrating AI tools into teaching, learning and assessment
• Conduct a curriculum gap analysis against global standards, industry requirements and emerging technology trends
• Review learning outcomes, graduate attributes, course sequencing, assessments and competency frameworks, and recommend enhancements
• Advise on emerging business models, startup ecosystems, venture creation, and on domains such as social innovation, planetary health innovation, policy and advocacy, and business strategy
• Recommend AI literacy and digital leadership competencies, and assess future workforce skills and entrepreneurial capabilities
• Update course specifications, learning outcomes, assessment strategies, practical activities and programme documentation
• Collaborate with academic leadership, faculty learning designers and industry stakeholders, and take part in review workshops and consultations
• Support quality assurance, accreditation and periodic review, and contribute to handbooks and curriculum guides
• Support the Programme Manager and faculty in implementing approved changes, and report progress against milestones

Required profile

• Master's degree in Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Technology Management, AI, Business Strategy or a closely related discipline
• At least 7 years of experience in academia, industry or both within entrepreneurial leadership and related fields
• Demonstrated experience designing, reviewing or revising undergraduate programmes in entrepreneurship education and innovation ecosystems
• Expertise in entrepreneurial leadership principles, curriculum development and programme review and accreditation
• Knowledge of areas such as entrepreneurship, business strategy, policy and advocacy, planetary health, social innovation, innovation management, AI in education and business, communications, marketing, sustainability and workforce development
• Experience aligning curricula with industry requirements, designing learning outcomes and competency frameworks, and conducting curriculum mapping and quality assurance
• Experience with online, blended or technology-enabled learning environments

Desirable: PhD or Master's degree, and experience leading curriculum transformation, accreditation reviews or programme modernisation in Rwanda or Mauritius.
