Data Engineering Instructor

About the role

AmaliTech Rwanda is looking for a motivated Data Engineering Instructor to join its Training Center and Service Center. You will lead the Data Engineering track of the AmaliTech Apprenticeship Program, delivering hands‑on technical training and mentorship to aspiring technology professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging training sessions covering Python, SQL, Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow and modern data architectures.
• Mentor trainees through the design, build and operation of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS and Microsoft Fabric.
• Assess learning progress, provide feedback and help learners achieve industry‑ready competence.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team in Ghana to ensure curriculum aligns with current best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of training materials and lab environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong communication and teaching abilities, with prior experience in technical mentorship considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with data‑governance principles and CI/CD workflows for data pipelines.
