Consultant – Training Tools Development for RISE Inclusion SOP

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a consultant to design and develop practical, user‑friendly training tools that will enable implementers to understand and apply the RISE Inclusion Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) across the learner journey. The assignment is based in Kigali and will be delivered through a hybrid model of remote work, office presence and occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the RISE Inclusion SOP into accessible training modules and materials tailored to diverse user groups.
• Develop curricula, facilitator guides, e‑learning assets and job aids that embed gender equality, disability, refugee and youth inclusion concepts.
• Conduct needs assessments and stakeholder consultations to ensure relevance and usability of the tools.
• Provide capacity‑building support to implementers through workshops, webinars and follow‑up coaching.
• Ensure all training content aligns with UNICEF safeguarding, PSEA and accessibility standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Development Studies, Gender Studies, Education or a related field.
• 7–10 years of professional experience in training design, curriculum development, facilitation or capacity strengthening.
• Demonstrated expertise in gender‑transformative and inclusion programming, including disability and refugee inclusion.
• Experience developing tools for multi‑stakeholder or community‑based programmes, preferably in Rwanda or similar contexts.
• Strong ability to convert technical frameworks into practical, user‑friendly resources.
