Manufacturing Operations Manager

About the role

As the Manufacturing Operations Manager you will lead the end‑to‑end production process in our Kigali facility, ensuring safety, quality and operational efficiency while supporting the company’s mission to deliver innovative vaccine solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet target outputs.
• Oversee daily manufacturing operations, monitor workflow and assembly processes, and ensure cost‑effective delivery of quality products.
• Manage budgeting, cost control, resource allocation and performance metrics for the manufacturing department.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMP standards and company policies, and prepare the site for GMP audits and inspections.
• Lead, coach and evaluate the manufacturing team, coordinate training programs and maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management for raw‑material procurement and inventory control.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance, Engineering and other departments to maintain product standards and seamless operations.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry or Pharmacy.
• Minimum 5 + years of experience in production management within a regulated environment.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Experience with regulatory audits and inspections (FDA, EMA, WHO).
