A'cademy Manager (M/F)

About the role

Africa Global Logistics (AGL) is a multimodal logistics operator now part of the MSC Group, with a Kigali Shared Service Center (KSSC) that supports the group's digital tools. The A'cademy Manager leads the A'cademy's activities across managerial, pedagogical, administrative and logistical dimensions, ensuring training programs meet business needs and the organization's strategy. The position is full-time and permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess core business training needs with the subject matter expert and help define the A'cademy's strategic direction
• Work with business entities to develop training plans in coordination with the Regional Training Lead, and represent the A'cademy across entities and countries
• Lead and manage teams (administration, instructional design, trainers, project managers and external providers)
• Prepare budgets, produce financial reports and monitor budgets
• Oversee administration using the Training Management System (TrainingMS - LearnPilot) and manage materials and logistics
• Ensure compliance with training regulations, certification standards and legal frameworks (ISO 9001, ISO 21001)
• Monitor training quality and recruit, train and manage a network of internal and external trainers
• Produce activity reports and report regularly to management
• Define a communication plan with A'cademy leadership, represent the organization with partners and help launch new training programs
• Handle tenders and requests for proposals as needed

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a profit center or business unit
• Experience in training management or running a training center is an advantage
• Strong management and leadership skills
• Professional proficiency in English and French

• Knowledge of training systems (initial training, continuous learning, apprenticeship) and instructional design
• Competency frameworks and AGL training policies and quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 21001)
• Administrative, financial and budget management
• Project management knowledge
