Treasury Accountant

About the role

The Treasury Accountant is a junior finance position supporting daily treasury activities for ContourGlobal’s power plant in Kigali. This role offers a recent graduate or early‑career professional the chance to develop hands‑on experience in cash management, payment processing, and financial reporting within a dynamic energy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash management and optimise liquidity.
• Prepare detailed cash‑flow forecasts to meet the company’s liquidity needs.
• Produce regular treasury reports covering cash position, liquidity status, receivables and financial risks.
• Ensure payment instructions are complete, accurate, authorised and supported.
• Negotiate with banks to obtain optimal FX rates for transactions.
• Record all bank and petty‑cash transactions in SAP using the appropriate transaction codes.
• Coordinate payment runs with the accounts payable function.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash records.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Highly motivated, trainable and adaptable with a willingness to learn.
• Understanding of corporate policies, confidentiality obligations and anti‑corruption standards.

Required skills

• SAP (financial modules for cash and bank transactions).
