Sales and Marketing Manager

About the role

AgroPy Ltd., Rwanda’s sole producer of organic and eco‑friendly pesticides, is seeking a full‑time Sales and Marketing Manager to lead its commercial growth across agricultural, horticultural, veterinary and public‑health segments. Based in Kigali, you will shape and execute strategies that expand market presence and drive revenue for our botanical pest‑control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans and marketing campaigns for organic pesticide products.
• Manage key customer relationships, including farmers, distributors and institutional clients.
• Identify new market opportunities and oversee product positioning with production and technical teams.
• Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports and monitor competitor activities.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate a sales and marketing team, fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
• Organise customer outreach, training sessions and represent AgroPy at industry events and stakeholder meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales management, account management or business development, preferably in agriculture or agribusiness.
• Strong marketing knowledge, including campaign planning and brand positioning across traditional and digital channels.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Analytical mindset with skills in market research, data interpretation and forecasting.
• Leadership experience with team‑building and performance‑management capabilities.
• Understanding of sustainable agriculture, organic inputs or pest‑control solutions is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Agribusiness, Agriculture or related field; advanced degree advantageous.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of Kinyarwanda and/or French is beneficial.
• Willingness to work onsite in Kigali and travel domestically as required.
