Risk Compliance Officer

About the role

The Risk and Compliance Officer will strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls at Inganji SACCO Rubavu. The role ensures compliance with internal policies, Rwandan laws and best financial practices while supporting the Audit Committee and Managing Director.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the risk management strategy, risk and capital inventory, and conduct risk measurement and stress testing.
• Draft risk management reports, early warning indicators and contingency plans for liquidity risk.
• Support implementation of internal controls and continuously improve policies and practices.
• Investigate potential compliance violations and advise management on regulatory requirements.
• Educate staff on compliance issues and perform other duties as directed by the head of Internal Audit and Compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• At least three years of experience in auditing with knowledge of micro‑finance banking and accounting practices.
• Rwandan nationality, not older than 45 years.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and high professionalism.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office packages.
• Advanced computer skills on core banking software.
