Resort Manager

About the role

The Resort Manager will act as the One&Only ambassador, overseeing all aspects of the Gorilla’s Nest resort in Rwanda. This senior leader will ensure the property delivers the brand’s luxury experience while driving revenue, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and preserve resort assets in line with One&Only standards.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with agencies, transport providers, tour operators, and other external partners.
• Lead resort operations to meet brand expectations, grow revenue, and maximize financial performance.
• Design and implement unique nature‑based resort experiences.
• Create local and international collaborations to enhance the resort’s image.
• Monitor competition and drive innovation to maintain a top‑tier reputation.
• Develop and execute a CSR program with at least two initiatives per year, involving colleagues regularly.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety procedures.
• Foster relationships with Rwandan government entities and private institutions.
• Oversee security operations to guarantee guest and colleague safety.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a strategic business leader in resort or luxury hospitality operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage assets, uphold brand standards, and drive financial results.
• Experience building partnerships with external providers and government bodies.
• Strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement.
• Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
