Project Manager – District Implementation (2 positions)

About the role

The Project Manager will oversee the implementation of multiple development projects across the Rutsiro and Nyamasheke districts, ensuring they align with Raising The Village’s strategic objectives. This senior position provides leadership, mentorship, and operational support to team leads and field officers while coordinating closely with government partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly activity plans, monitor progress, and address risks and issues with team leads and officers.
• Lead district‑level engagement with government officials, facilitating joint planning, supervision, and reporting.
• Oversee procurement, budgeting, and logistical support for project activities and office operations.
• Provide mentorship, performance coaching, and capacity‑building training for staff and government partners.

Required profile

• University degree in Project Management, Community Development or related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years supervising staff and coordinating with district‑level government institutions.
• Proven experience in designing, budgeting, and managing multi‑sector projects at the village level.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
