MEP Site Engineer (Kigali, Rwanda)

About the role

General Power Africa Ltd is seeking a qualified MEP Site Engineer to join its project team in Kigali. The role involves overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works on commercial and industrial projects, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily MEP site activities.
• Coordinate HVAC, electrical power, and plumbing works with civil, architectural, and other project teams.
• Review drawings, BOQs, material submittals, and site installation requirements.
• Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedule.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, inspection requests, and site documentation.
• Identify site issues and support technical solutions.
• Maintain safety and quality compliance on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial and industrial MEP site experience.
• Good knowledge of HVAC installation, electrical power distribution, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong communication, reporting, and team coordination skills.
• Experience working with consultants, contractors, and project teams is an advantage.
• Preferably certified with a relevant competence certificate.
