Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests and employees at our Kigali location. This role involves patrolling, monitoring security systems, and responding promptly to incidents to maintain a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms and fire life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR or contact EMS as needed.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons and handle complaints.
• Complete incident reports, daily shift summaries and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence and conduct interviews with relevant parties.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies and follow company safety policies.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Physical capability to run, jog or move quickly in response to situations.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to company policies.
