IT Support Officer – Forex Bureau Systems

About the role

The IT Support Officer will provide technical support and system management for RFBA member forex bureaus, ensuring the reporting software operates securely, records transactions accurately, and meets National Bank of Rwanda regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and monitor the forex bureau software system, coordinating updates and upgrades.
• Provide help‑desk services, troubleshoot software or connectivity issues, and deliver remote or on‑site assistance.
• Support members in complying with BNR reporting standards, preparing electronic reports and ensuring data accuracy.
• Organise training sessions, develop user guides and conduct refresher courses on new features or regulations.
• Manage system security, user permissions, data backups and overall system integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration, preferably with financial or banking software.
• Strong communication and training abilities to work with multiple institutions and stakeholders.
