Inventory and Asset Management Officer

About the role

Rising Academies is seeking a highly organised and dependable Inventory and Asset Management Officer to manage tablets, accessories and programme materials, ensuring secure storage, accurate records and traceability throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate inventory and asset register, conduct opening and monthly physical counts, and achieve at least 98% agreement with the register.
• Receive, verify and tag incoming stock within two business days, and ensure all supporting documentation is complete.
• Organise warehouse zones with clear labels to enable efficient locating, counting and management of items.
• Maintain the warehouse access log, perform weekly safety and security checks, and escalate incidents within 24 hours.
• Monitor stock levels, identify shortages or unusual movements, and raise alerts within one business day.
• Prepare approved in‑stock requests, record dispatches and handovers, and ensure every item leaving the warehouse is traceable.
• Record returns, separate items by condition, and forward faulty devices for repair within two business days.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in supply chain, logistics, procurement, business administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations or asset management.
• Proven ability to maintain stock registers, conduct physical counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Experience handling high‑value electronic assets such as tablets is an advantage.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety, security and access‑control procedures.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets.
• Proficiency with digital record‑keeping tools and audit‑ready documentation.
