Assistant Reporting Accountant

About the role

The Assistant Reporting Accountant will support the preparation of accurate management and statutory accounts for Old Mutual Insurance Rwanda. You will ensure that financial data reflects the true performance and position of the business while collaborating with finance partners and the ICT team.

Key responsibilities

• Produce timely management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of statutory accounts.
• Perform reconciliations between policy administration systems (EO2, AIMS) and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Substantiate balance sheet items and monitor compliance across the finance department.
• Provide analytical support for external audits and ad‑hoc financial projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with finance business partners to improve data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with AML, sanctions and other regulatory policies, escalating issues as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting or finance qualification.
• Experience in financial reporting and statutory account preparation.
• Understanding of compliance, AML and sanctions requirements.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
