Water Production & Chemical Engineer

About the role

The Water Production & Chemical Engineer will lead daily operations at our water treatment facilities, ensuring a continuous supply of safe drinking water while optimizing chemical usage and plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and monitor daily water production activities in treatment plants.
• Ensure treated water complies with WHO and national drinking‑water standards.
• Track plant performance metrics such as flow rates, production volumes and downtime.
• Optimize plant capacity utilization and chemical dosing processes.
• Manage chemical storage, handling, and safety, including hazardous substances like chlorine.
• Supervise routine laboratory analysis and sampling programs.
• Analyze operational data to drive efficiency improvements and reduce sludge production.
• Enforce occupational health and safety procedures and manage related risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in water treatment or chemical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of water‑treatment processes and chemical handling.
