Strategy Manager

About the role

The Strategy Manager will support Equity Bank Rwanda’s business activities by driving strategic planning, alignment and measurement across the organisation. Working closely with business heads, the role translates stakeholder needs into clear specifications and ensures that projects deliver the bank’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and support departments in the strategic planning process, identifying cross‑impacts and dependencies.
• Manage the planning and measurement processes to ensure strategic alignment.
• Act as a communication broker between stakeholders and product implementation teams, documenting user stories and use cases.
• Analyse business processes, document requirements and define system behaviour.
• Determine scope, project boundaries and success criteria for client solutions.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout project lifecycles.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategy development, business analysis or related fields within the banking sector.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate vague requirements into precise, actionable specifications.
