Senior Project Associate – Returnee Reintegration

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Project Associate to support the Returnee Reintegration programme in Rwanda. Working under the Head of Programmes and the Project Manager, you will help strengthen social cohesion and build resilient communities for returnees arriving from the DRC.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring project activities.
• Compile, analyse and present data on project topics, highlighting key issues.
• Monitor budget execution and propose adjustments as needed.
• Serve as the focal point for administrative coordination, liaising with internal units and external partners.
• Draft status reports, correspondence, briefing notes, graphics and statistical tables.
• Organise meetings, workshops and training sessions; prepare materials and support delivery.
• Respond to information requests, maintain project files and records.
• Maintain liaison with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, donors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor implementing partners’ performance and report non‑compliance.
• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and other project documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in project coordination or implementation within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong analytical ability to compile and interpret project data.
• Excellent written communication skills for reporting and correspondence.
• Proven capacity to organise workshops, trainings and stakeholder meetings.
• Ability to work under supervision while managing multiple administrative tasks.
