Senior M-Files Developer (Enterprise Content)

About the role

Africa Global Logistics (AGL) is deploying a new Enterprise Content Management platform called MERGE, based on M-Files and integrated with OCR and artificial intelligence, which will become the group's standard document management and workflow automation platform across logistics, freight forwarding, ports, customs, finance, procurement, human resources and legal. AGL is looking for an experienced M-Files Solution Developer to strengthen its Digital Center of Excellence in Kigali, bringing immediate operational expertise to the MERGE program and helping the development team grow its skills.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain M-Files vault structures, metadata models, classes, workflows and permissions, and develop low-code business applications
• Configure document lifecycles, approval workflows, templates and automatic document generation, and support AI, OCR and intelligent metadata extraction
• Build customizations and extensions using the M-Files API and the Vault Application Framework (VAF)
• Design integrations with ERP, TMS, CRM, HR and finance systems, support API-based exchanges and lead document migration from legacy ECM/GED solutions
• Participate in testing, troubleshoot incidents, assist in deployment and release management, and provide Level 2 and 3 support
• Gather business requirements, run workshops with business users, write technical documentation and contribute to standardization
• Mentor developers, define coding standards and promote best practices

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience, including significant ECM/GED and hands-on M-Files implementation experience
• English professional working proficiency (mandatory); French appreciated
