Seed Inspection & Sampling Senior Supervisor

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking an experienced professional to lead seed inspection and sampling activities across Rwanda. The Senior Supervisor will ensure that seed lots meet quality and phytosanitary standards, supporting the organization’s mission to improve farmer productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct seed inspection and field/storage sampling.
• Authorize or reject seed lots based on inspection findings.
• Handle sample documentation and recommend corrective actions.
• Support quality‑assurance testing and escalate critical issues.
• Collaborate with field, laboratory, and sample‑related personnel.
• Propose and implement process improvements.
• Coordinate directly with field and laboratory teams to maintain quality standards.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in seed inspection, sampling, or a related field.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work with laboratory staff.
• Basic agronomic knowledge of various crop seeds.
• Understanding of seed certification systems.
