Remote CMS Developer (Contract/Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CMS Developer to design, build, and maintain custom Content Management System applications such as WordPress, Drupal, or Craft CMS. This fully remote contract position offers the chance to work closely with designers, content creators, and cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, high‑performance web experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage, and scale customized CMS applications, including custom themes, modules, and plugins.
• Implement responsive designs, ensure cross‑browser compatibility, and conduct performance tuning.
• Set up custom post types and fields to provide an intuitive editing experience for non‑technical users.
• Maintain site security, data protection, authentication, backups, and regular software updates.
• Apply technical SEO best practices and integrate third‑party APIs, CRM systems, and tracking tools (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics).
• Collaborate daily with UI/UX designers, back‑end developers, and content stakeholders to meet brand guidelines and timelines.
• Produce clean code and comprehensive technical documentation for future reference.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional software development focused on CMS technologies.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage time effectively.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and attention to design accuracy.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript (ES6+).
• Server‑side programming: PHP, Python, or Ruby.
• Deep experience with WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS, or Magento.
• Custom theme and plugin development.
• API integration and database management.
• Technical SEO implementation.
• Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics integration.
