Remote Accountant (US GAAP/UK GAAP)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting for our growing business. The role is fully remote and requires strong knowledge of either US GAAP or UK accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns and process payroll in line with local regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) preferred.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
