Regional Health & Nutrition Technical Advisor

About the role

Alight is seeking a Regional Health and Nutrition Technical Advisor to lead and support health and nutrition programmes in Rwanda and Sudan. Based in Kigali, the role will provide technical oversight, ensure compliance with national and humanitarian standards, and strengthen service delivery across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall technical guidance and oversight for health and nutrition programmes in Rwanda and Sudan.
• Ensure services comply with national guidelines, protocols, and quality standards.
• Support design, implementation, and monitoring of evidence‑based interventions, including maternal, child health and nutrition.
• Lead supportive supervision, clinical mentorship and continuous quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Monitor programme performance, analyse data and recommend technical improvements.
• Strengthen capacity of staff, including supervising the Rwanda Health Technical Advisor and medical doctors.
• Coordinate with programme teams, health partners and authorities to align interventions with national and humanitarian standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership for health and nutrition programmes in humanitarian contexts.
• Experience working in Rwanda and/or Sudan health systems, including familiarity with community‑based health insurance and emergency response.
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor medical professionals and health advisors.
